    Description

    Here is a very rare Stangl Bird - The Magpie Jay -#3758. Always a key bird if you collect Stangl Birds. I recently moved and need to downsize my Stangl collection of birds and sunburst ware for lack of display space. I was preparing to put this bird up for a lot more money when I discovered a small flaw on the back leaf of the bird, which having been in my collection for 20 years I never noticed before. I have tried to show this in the last two pictures. The bird displays well and has very strong colors. This bird may have come from Wayne Weigand's collection. Wayne and I were two of the founders of the Stangl/Fulper Collector's Club 25 years ago.
